During summer when it was very sunny and hot, I would always hang out with my cousin and her friends. My older cousin was nineteen but she looked younger because she was quite short for her age. One day in my extremely cold room, I was alone in my room and my parents were deep into their sleep from a very long day at work. As I watched MTV2 my phone rang with my very noisy ringtone. I answered quickly and it was my cousin. My cousin told me to get ready so I can go to the beach with her and her friends who were older than us. When I was done putting on my comfortable clothes, I was ready to sneak out. As I was opening my squeaky window I was frightened when I heard the cars passing by. After that I was ready to walk to my cousin’s house that was about 15 minutes away. It was a very cold night and I was shivering. When I got to her doorstep she said " dude aren't you cold!? Here let me get you a jacket “and I said "Yes! Because I was in a hurry”. Then we got into her friends car and drove to the beach while listening to loud music that hurt my ears. I told them “change the station and turn the volume down” which they responded to “no”. I didn’t say anything after that because they wouldn’t even listen since I was the youngest. It was 2 a.m by the time we got to the beach and it was cold and dark with hardly any light. I was in the sand making a sand castle while the rest were drinking a big bottle of liquor. Around 4:30AM we raced with another friend of ours home. My cousin and I left right after we said bye to everyone. We walked back to my house shivering and we both had the chills, but as I was opening the window to sneak in I saw a car turning into the drive way. As I turned around nervously I saw my uncle getting out of the car and walking up to us. I wasn't sure if to ignore him or make up an excuse right away. I had so many excuses going through my head at that moment and couldn’t think straight. When we walked towards the front door I asked what he was doing here so late and he replied with “I can ask you the same thing ". I just said “the door was locked". The next morning I found out that he told my parents. My parents asked me why I was outside with my cousin so late and I said " he's lying I wasn't even outside. After this I knew that I had to be more careful and not get caught. I had to stop walking alone at night because it's dangerous and you never know what might happen.

1) Sarah Dessen's " This lullaby " is a story of a young teenager named Remy , a girl who doesn't believe in love . Remy doesn't believe in love because her real dad has never really seen her . Remys dad had only written her a song called " This lullaby " before he past away.Remys mom is about to have her fifth wedding with a man Remy is not so sure about . Remy is a girl who likes to feel in control of things when she's with her boyfriend , but that doesn't last long . Remy meets a boy named Dexter at the dealership one day and thinks he's annoying; however , they end up together even though he's messy and impulsive. Dexter is a musician and Remy had a " no musician " rule that she just broke. 2) The theme of this novel is to inspire people who don't believe in love that it does exist. This is the theme because at first she didn't believe in love and in the end she believes it's real. 3) The authors tone is sad , positive , and hopeful . These are the authors tones because she explains her worst and best times . 4) " she takes on husbands the way other people change their hair color " (1) Remy explains how her mom is always marrying. " you heart breaker " (28) Remys friend thinks Remy hurts guys alot . " I'm not wonderful ,but I am better than I used to be " Remy is saying that she did change and is doing better than before . " (62) Sometimes I thought if she could read my mind it would kill her " (58) Explains how Remy has negative thoughts about her mom. In (23) Remy says she was obsessive but not in a dirty way when she says " okay so maybe I was a little obsessive , but so what ? At least I wasn't a slob "

Monkey’s Paw 1. If you had three wishes, what would they be? If i had three wishes they would be all the money in the world, a world made out of candy, and everybody to get along .Why? Because people would be so happy eating candy like charlie and the chocolate factory, also everyone would get along and be friendly. 2. Is there anything that you are superstitious about? Yes , I am superstitious about things , for example walking under a ladder . I am superstitious about walking under a ladder because last year when I walked under a ladder I hit my head on the ladder twice.

Antigone compare and contrast essay

In Antigone by Sophocles , king Creon doesn't want polynices to be burried but his sister Antigone doesn't listen . Antigone gets caught and Creon wants to bury her alive. Creon changes his mind but its to late Antigone hanged herself. Antigone and Creon have some differences and similar . They are both different because Antigone is more loyal to her family . Antigone says " I will bury the brother i love " on page. 774 meaning she has lover for her brother and nothing is going to stop her from burying him. Creon isn't as loyal to family because he says "I never knew that these two sisters were aiming at my throne" . Creon doesn't trust his family , therefore he isn't as loyal . Antigone is loyal to state because she says " That final justice that rules the world below makes no such laws " . Antigone is saying that the state isn't as cruel . Creon is loyal to the state because he says on page 820 " You will give no support to whoever breaks this law ". Creon will not support people who disobey the state. Antigone and Creon have a lot in common ;for example, they are both willing to put their lifes At risk and are cocky.Creon is willing to put his life at risk because on page.820 .he says " and death it is"Creon would rather put his life at risk when he agrees to death.Antigone. is willing to put her life at risk when she says " But I will bury him ; and if I must die I say this crime is holy" on page 816. I think that they both deserve the blame for the tragic outcome. Antigone should of said yes to Creon when he wanted to help her but she was to stubborn. Creon should of standed up for himself and listen to other instead of being so stubborn and wanting everything his way .
